PARKED THE CAR YESTERDAY BEFORE DARK AND GOT UP THE NEXT DAY AND ONE HEADLIGHT WAS UP. IT CAME UP ALL BY ITSELF. I TURNED THE LIGHTS ON AND THEN CUT THEM BACK OFF AND THEY BOTH WENT BACK DOWN. SO I WENT FOR A RIDE AND IT CONTINUED TO COME BACK UP ALL BY ITSELF. THEN IT STOPPED WORKING AT ALL. IT WILL NOT COME UP AND THE OTHER ONE HAS STOPPED WORKING ALSO. ALSO JUST BEFORE THEY BOTH QUIT WORKING, WHEN I TURNED THE SWITCH ONE TIME FOR THE FOG LIGHTS TO COME ON, THE HEADLIGHT WOULD FLIP UP--THE ONE THAT WAS WORKING TO START WITH. I KNOW THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT JUST THE FOG LIGHTS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ON. THEY BOTH WILL NOT WORK. I CHECKED THE FUSES AND THEY WERE ALRIGHT. WHAT SHOULD I CHECK NOW AND WHERE SHOULD I LOOK ? THANKS FOR THE HELP.
i check that, but both of them will not go up know, the lights will come on but they will not rise up. it is like there is no power going to them. i have to turn them up and down by the **** on each headlight. i check the fuses and they are ok. i do not know what controll them and where to look for it.
thanks anyway maybe somebody can help me.
I had a similiar problem with my 98 a few years back. There is a relay near the passenger side light that controls the motors. Mine had a crack in it and water was in there... Check yours, it could be the culprit.
