Default 2 quick questions, hopefully

02 C5 Z06- Is there a big benefit to going to C6 Z06 shocks? Back end feels a little floaty. Would I be able to get away with just throwing C6 Z06 shocks on the rear?

Also, The vette is stock and I was looking at the ECU tune from ECS- would it still benefit me if I have no other mods?

Reach out to Doug at ECS and see what he would suggest. I had him do mine based on current mods and the upcoming ones as well. I've basically built a Z06 car with a drop top.

I did the shocks all the way around, springs and bars. This stick vert is running on rails.

if you haven't considered the alignment, I would check that with an expert before buying shocks . By expert, I mean a top alignment specialty shop in the area, not just a guy working in a tire shop. You might simply just need a little bit more performance oriented set up than the regular guy.

Lots of people like the C6Z shocks. They are cheap and easy. I do not - much prefer the Bilstein. a bit more money but much better. Check alignment, tie rods etc while in there. shock replacement is pretty easy to do.

Tune on a stock car is not worth it imho.

I put these DRM valved Bilsteins on in 2016.

Five years, eight track days later, I am still pleased with he result.

Have you checked your suspension, ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. It sounds like that might be the problem, sticky tires and hard cornering can accelerate the wear on them. I am in the process of changing my ball joints and I was amazed at how loose they had become. The new ball joints I can barely move while the old ones I could wiggle with two fingers.
