Before & After Blackwing......
Will install a Donaldson Blackwing soon. Has anyone Dyno tested a factory air filter Vs a Blackwing? I'd like to know if you really pickup 10/15 HP with the Blackwing.

Thanks for the comments. Numerous Blackwing users feel their cars are faster after the Blackwing install, but, the Dyno is the proof. Just curious if anyone actually did a Dyno test. BTW, Exit-28 is Offering Blackwing filters & hood seal for $200. No shipping!!

It seems to be more equal to the 2002 Z06 Airlid with K&N Filter. You should see how small the inlet is on the coupe !!! I wondered about the SLP box that goes over the Blackwing and needs a cold air cut-out ala Vortex ?? Anyone ??

I dynoed my Z06 with a cam and an underdrive pulley and a stock box. Then I switched to the Blackwing on the same day. I never took the car off the dyno, so the pulls were within 10 minutes of each other. I picked up 12 rwhp corrected with the blackwing on my modified car. You should see similar results. Just buy it, you will be happy!

My experience with the Blackwing and CA Lid was good while mainly stock with a couple of bolt-ons. Added cam and began having some surging issues. Installed a Vortex, car still surged in reverse and 1st. Have since installed a new uncut shroud and gone to CA screens with just a Blackwing. No surging issues whatsoever and car feels stronger than ever.

Only performance mods are Blackwing and Corsa Exhaust (w/x-pipe). Current HP is 320.3 SAE corrected. I know a before and after is more telling, but 320 is pretty good and I'm sure that is mostly the Blackwing as the exhaust would add little to no HP.
