Default Clutch replacement suggestions

00' M6 103k, only modifications are a shifter and LT headers + full exhaust. I don't plan on adding power to the motor for several years as it is a DD until I am finished with school. The clutch still feels fine but, the longest longevity claim on the stock clutch I have seen is 125k. I would like to be prepared for its inevitable failure. I know to replace aging seals, slave cylinder(with the easy bleeder thingy), the torque tube bushings, etc as I move through the repair, but I don't know that much about what brands would be reasonable replacements or upgrades to the stock clutch. Any experiences or suggestions are appreciated, thank you for reading!

My clutch seems fine at 185k. Stock, don't hammer or abuse it much, and a lot of long road trips.

Wow, I can only hope mine lasts that long.

Usually a question like this will have two dozen responses inside of a day. Must be the good weather...
My clutch still looked semi-good at just over 100K when the slave cylinder let go. Then the couplers had myriad cracks and splits, and the torque tube bearings had more slop and noise than anticipated, the master was just as old (and un-serviced) as the slave, and finally one side of the rear end was leaking. egad
I went with the GM original equipment clutch, and it's the same as original, but boy did it set me back a pretty penny.

I replaced my clutch at 123k with an LS7 kit. I've put 47k on it since and have enjoyed it. The LS7 engages much earlier and has been a good fit for me. I wish I replaced the torque tube bearings and couplers at that time. Depending on what power you plan to run you may want to consider upgrading to the 01-04 torque tube that has the 12mm bolts or just get a 10mm rebuild kit for yours.

Yeah LS7 clutch is an affordable replacement, used to be the LS6 clutch, lol. However keep in mind the LS7 flywheel makes the combo some heavier, get the RAM aluminum flywheel option to bring that sluggeshness less (find a vendor for details), unless you for some reason want the heavier combo for the way it smooths out the engagement. You will loose some power though with the heavier combo, small but sure. It's not going to drive as peppy, either. I hear this clutch can handle good amount of power in relation to stock to modded C5's. Lots of power and will have to look for another aftermarket clutch.
