Here are a few pics of the tranny cooler setup that I am working on, I am making six of them so if anyone is interested in one I will sell them at my cost. The cooler with fan & thermal switch is $200 shipped, and if you want to use this on the M6 or M12 the tanny pump is $250 shipped.
I have a few questions:
What size is the cooler, fan, and pump, individually?
Also what brand are each of the items?
What type of fitting does the cooler fit?
Where did you intend on putting this.
I am interested in putting this on a M6 so i would need the pump. I was also thinking of putting a dual flow cooler and include the diff fluid as well.
I will add some more pics of the coolers on the car in a couple of weeks. The MN6 must use the oil pump to circulate the oil through the cooler. This same setup can be used as a diff cooler.
Could anyone explain to me the efficacy of locating the coolers where the mufflers normally are (obviously this assumes you have an exhaust system that eliminates the normal muffler set-up)? It seems this would be an ideal location in relation to the rear trannie. People have said you need to have a fan for the cooler in this location because of the lack of airflow. Couldn't you cut a duct from the back of the wheel well to direct air to the cooler, so as to eliminate the fan (subscribing to the KISS theory)? (I guess I'd be too chicken to cut a NACA duct into the rear fender for the requisite airflow  ) When people have mentioned locating the coolers at the rear brake duct, I don't understand where/how this is fashioned. Thanks for any answers to my rambling questions.
