Default No crank / no start

Stock 2001 Corvette base 6 speed manual. Car does not crank. I hear the fuel pump prime. No click from the starter solenoid. It's acting like the clutch pedal is not depressed, so I'm going to check the clutch pedal switch first.

DTC's:
IPC - B0516 History
RFA - C2105 History
C2110 History
C2115 History
All the codes are history and I don't believe they have anything to do with my problem, from a quick search it appears I've sped over 200 mph and have some (original) TPMS sensors due for replacement next time I buy tires.

Isn't there a relay near the BCM for the Anti-theft that commonly fails and causes a similar situation? I could use some help finding it.

Any help is appreciated.

If not already done, next first on list, is to have the battery checked.

It can be caused by other components but, instead of throwing cash and parts at the issue, its best to use a volt meter and figure out if your getting 12 VDC to the solenoid and if your not, figure out whats not allowing it to get there. Heres a schematic that has all the components involved in starting your engine:

The THEFT DETERRENT RELAY is a good place to start testing. The purple solenoid wire should have 12 VDC on it when you crank the engine.

Heres a picture of the relay:

Its the relay with FOUR wires. Yellow, Yellow/Black, Red and PURPLE
I found Bill posted this 10 years ago. I put the part in bold about the Theft deterrent relay. My theft deterrent relay IS clicking, but still suspect.
My battery connections are clean and tight.

Could be the contacts of the TDR, you can insert a wire jumper between the red and violet wires at the TDR socket and see if it cranks over, if it still doesn't crank it is the starter/solenoid. Extreme CAUTION when you do this as this bypasses the need to press the clutch in make sure your car is in neutral.

I tried that (in neutral) a few times and also got an arc once. I'm suspect of the starter solenoid also. Tomorrow's another day, I'm going to give it a few hammer hits and see if it works again. If not, I'll get under the car and check voltage at "S" terminal on the starter to make sure the purple wire is not broken. I'll update later.

Just an update/resolution. I was able to get under the car and everything checked out ok at the starter. I ordered a brand new starter on Amazon from Bosh (SR8581N), it uses two long bolts and comes with a new bolt to replace the short one. I could not get the starter to work hitting it with a hammer and had to push start the car. I drove it to my garage and was able to restart the car a few times in a row . I dropped the H pipe and replaced it anyway, I know it will happen again.

Thanks for the update, but I'm a little confused. Did changing the starter fix the problem?

he put new one on and it works bit thinks there's another problem . Probably because cause it was intermittent. He's hoping for the best that fixed it. 🙏

Yes.

After push starting the car and driving to my garage the starter worked again. I think the solenoid is bad.
