I purchased a new Fuel Pressure Test Gauge Kit and ran a pressure test tonight for the first time. I removed the Test Port Cap from the manifold, connected the pressure gauge collar, ran the test and when I removed the test gauge collar, I saw a small red rubber O-Ring gasket fall out of the connection. Now I don't know if the gasket was part of the pressure gauge kit and hiding inside the collar, or if it came on the car and was there to help seal the opening when the metal cap when screwed back on (and was just stuck to the manifold when I took the cap off and I did not notice it)?

The O ring would be part of the test kit. The fuel rail is sealed by the Schrader valve, the cap keeps dust out. When testing fuel pressure, the test kit fuel rail adaptor pushes open the Schrader valve and therefor needs it's own seal.
