Bought a MGW short throw shifter for my Z06. Took everything apart today following the MGW video and no problems.....until I tried to remove the OEM shifter. Even with all bolts removed shifter plate is not even budging a little, almost like that bottom plate is welded to the tranny. I know I have all the bolts out but can't figure out what's still holding it in place. When the guy in the video removes it, it's almost effortless how it came off. Tried wedging a flathead screw drive underneath and it's not moving. Any suggestions?
There is a rubber alignment shoe that fits onto the fin on the bottom of the box. Sometimes they will be siliconed in on both sides.... Make sure the clamp on the shifting rod is loose and try prying it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have everything back together now since weather has been so good here.....next week looks rainy so I'll try taking everything apart again.
