I did my search 🔦 looked up all the forums and threads with no luck
It’s been a while that I have been fitting gremlins in my C5 Z06 2002 abs system , changed the ABS module and did a full check on all wiring found a kinked wire , had some codes on the Dash for the TC and ABS , now not codes so wiring problems solved.
so now as the title says and as I am under hard braking or emergency stops my front breaks lock up then the ABS informes me that it’s active !!!! But I don’t feel the ABS working
can some one shed some light or help direct me to what I should do next
So how full is your master cyl reservoir? If it is at the very top and you use the brakes, heat will expand the fluid and with no head space the only way the pressure goes is to lock the calipers. I never fill above the seam. the min is below the seam the max just above. This is embossed in the side of the reservoir but hard to see.
overfilling is a very common mistake for novices on the track. That's one of the big things we tech before letting them out for an HPDE event. It can and will smoke the front brakes. All 4 for that matter, but there is more effect on the front.
