got a spare tb for my 97 base model to play with sometime. will keep my original in case something goes bad. came without the electronics on it . i see tps and iac stuff for sale from 15 bucks all the way up to a hundred or so. is this stuff in the class of you get what you pay for or the corvette tax? spare tb looks very good. thanks
All C5 and newer Corvettes or any late model GM vehicle that uses a drive by wire throttle
does NOT have an Idle Air control valve
At start up and during warm up the DBY throttle is kicked open somewhat to allow more idle airflow to keep it running and start---- also the idle speed is raised depending on the coolant temp
At say around 68* coolant temp at cold start the idle should be around 1000 to 900 RPM's
Stock TB % after warmed is about 17-20% BUT when cold or not entirely warmed up the throttle % can be as high as 27%---

btw tblu92 as i search for these parts for my tb i see many suppliers calling these parts tps and IDLE AIR CONTROL MOTOR.. does not look like a valve to me but looks like a motor on the side of the tb. thanks again for the heads up.
