First of all, my headlights are working perfectly. I had to raise the right headlight to replace the headlight control module and was following the procedure found in this forum. I pulled the cover and began turning the ****, but the headlight would not raise even after 15-20 turns. Reversed turning the **** until it came back to its stop. Cant find anything on this to troubleshot what is wrong.
Got around it by raising the headlight electrically and pulled the six 10 amp fuses for the lights and motors. Disconnected the battery to to play it safe to replace the module. Just curious as to what's wrong and does something have to be replaced to make it work again. Did not check the left headlight. Any ideas?
Confused a bit by the "came back to its stop". It rose some amount, just not as much as your anticipated at 20 turns? I have to admit I've never tried to raise mine with the ****, but will do so tomorrow to see if it goes up at a good clip. It's a worm driving a gear, so not sure what the ratio is, not to mention the bellcrank to elevate the headlight.

The **** stops turning at each end of its range. Read that after 30 complete turns it should be fully open. It won't move at all even after 20 turns. The lights work perfectly otherwise.
