Just an update, put new (NOS) GM arms in there, plus got some different bolts which have a shoulder that goes from one end of the inner sleeve in the bushing to the other, probably didn't need to, just felt it was the correct thing to do. Tightened the arms to see how they felt, the brackets pinched the sleeves and I could feel the bushings fighting me trying to lower the control arm down to put the ball joint stud in place, so that was all good now.
Also put new tires all the way around, got rid of the 8 year old run flats, too bad, they had a ton of tread left.
Between the new tires and the new control arms, the car is a pleasure to drive! It was never fun to drive this car, those control arm bushings were bad from the day we got it, just didn't realize what the problem was.
60 used to feel like 100, now triple digits feel like 60!
