Broken leaf spring bolts.
There I was leaving the gym when I hear a loud bang and then a loud grinding sound from the back underside of my 2002 coupe. It was a good thing I was in a parking lot. My left rear leaf spring bolt broke and my left rear of the car was dragging on the ground underneath and the fender was riding on the tire. It appears the bolt was cracked for quite a while as it was rusted a little over half way through the bolt. It was barely holding on before it broke. I ended up getting her towed home. New bolts are on order. Thank God it didn't happen yesterday when I had the wife with me on the highway. My car has about 140,000 miles on her. She will be getting all new bolts. This may be something for others with high mileage cars to check out. This is a very quick way to lower your. LOL. Hopefully this does not happen to anybody else.

Same happened to me yesterday
The exact same thing happened just after I pulled out of work yesterday. BAM, there went the bolt. So loud that I thought I had blown a tire. After inspection, all bolts are being changed. However, I am going to go get some 8 grade bolts

Pain in the butt. But st least it is like one of the easiest repairs to make in the world. I just went back to oem suspension from coilovers on my daily and ordered 9/16 bolts from Bolt Depot thanks to a thread on here. 6" was sufficient drop for me and I actually had to raise it about a half inch to be right.
If you need new pucks, I can say the Energy Suspension pieces are good so far and are said not to age out like others.
