It's an isolator to help prevent vibration -- have not found a reference anywhere. I would give Tmodcustoms@gmail.com a shout. He sells modified lower shift boxes on the parts forum -- they are good -- and while he always notes that customers need to retain the isolator before shipping a lower box back, I'd bet money he has a few isolators around, or may have even looked into replicating the original.
