Default Dreaded p1153

Hey there everyone, I've got a bit of a head scratcher I could use some help with. I've got an 03 auto, car runs great with mild bolt ons and tune. Since doing my headers, I've repeatedly had p1153 come up and throw a code. I ignored it until recently when I replaced my o2's with adapters and new rear sensors in the front. Well today the code came back again. I've checked for exhaust leaks at the headers but they seem fine. I've gone through some of the grounds and cleaned them up.

On the drivers side, the plug had actually melted on the harness side, so I replaced it while swapping to the new sensors, the passenger pigtail was undamaged

Once the OEM exhaust manifold is replaced with headers and not knowing how far back the O2 sensors are now located may lead to the O2’s become “lazy” but maybe your tuner may help you at least turn off the MIL...the OEM exhaust manifolds flow pretty well so that’s why I’d never install headers...not worth it !!

I had a buddy at work hook up his scan tool and the o2s both seemed to be working normally. I'm just gonna have my tuner disable it from throwing the light anymore. I was just under the assumption that using the rear sensors in the front locations would alleviate the code

Sometimes and it’s not if the O2’s are just “switching” but it’s the amplitude !!...if they are switching between less than 300 mv’s and more than 600 mV’s !!

That is why many tuners have suggested to use the rear O2's on the front with the correct connector because they are more sensitive to being further from the heads.

Based off memory, i saw a low of 100 and a high of 900 for both
