Alarm issues
In the past month, I’ve started experiencing a problem with the alarm in my 2004 C5 coupe. When I get out of the car and close the doors, I hit the lock button on my remote and the doors lock, but the horn doesn’t always beep. When this happens, it often takes cycling the vehicle power (sometimes to the point of cranking the vehicle) to get the alarm. But sometimes even that doesn’t work. I’ll leave the car, come back later to drive it and then it mar or may not work.
I’m lost as to where to begin. The battery is about 2 years old but it’s holding good charge (engine fires right up) and often this issue occurs after I’ve driven the vehicle for a while (so the battery is fully charged).

I don't know what you cars alarm problem is but will explain basic operation. The fob signal is received by the receiver module located behind the driver side seat, the receiver sends commands/data to the BCM which locks the doors and sounds the horn. It could be a problem with the receiver or BCM, maybe somebody with more in depth knowledge can chime in.
