At least better than most other short shifters, as it retains the OEM noise cancelling design. Had a Hurst shifter in mine, the rattle drove me crazy. The gear lever is at a better angle than the C5 shifter (closer to the driver), and the throw is shorter.
It was much better for me. Much better.
Better look, better feel.
Simple, inexpensive upgrade in my opinion and a quality part.
This is my experience as well. The throw is only a little shorter, but the shorter rod is more pleasing to the eye and the angle back is more ergonomic. I also like the look and feel of the C6 **** more than the rubiks cube stocker.

Leave the demon key out. My Hurst has been in the car without the key in it since 2006 and zero rattles. I put it all back to stock with the Hurst, demon key in, and it rattled like crazy. Took the key out, no more rattles. Trick is to wrap the stick threads with teflon tape heavily. Shift **** will stay in place and all will be quiet.
