I am a novice that does not mind getting their hands dirty. I have looked at many threads on getting the vacuum switch on the air to switch from vents to floor to defrost etc. I am having trouble locating the places where the vacuum hoses connect. The issue is I cannot get air to blow out of any particular set of vents. It blows through all of them
The pictures to be honest have confused me and I am pretty dense between the ears. So help me locate these lines with as specific notes as possible. Or steer me in the right direction if you can.
I am hesitant to remove the air manifold simply because I have never done that. So not sure exactly how.
You guys are great and just know more than I. So tolerate an idiot that had a desk job for years. Blessings to you all. 2002 coupe.

The vacuum line from the rear of the intake manifold goes thru a harness. It looks like a wire, find it and check that its not rotted or broken. It worked for me,,,,,,

Did you have to remove the air intake to find it? Not something I really want to do.
No its a very thin hard plastic line it looks like a wire, you can feel for it in the back of the manifold and follow it down . If you remove the passenger tire and the panel in the rear of the fender you can feel it. Or you can remove the manifold and run a new vacuum line to the fitting behind the fender.

I decided to bite the bullet and remove the manifold. First time ever for me. The oil pressure sensor had been replaced and I will replace the vacuum line and air check valve as well. It’s going okay
That's a good start, but it's quite common for the plastic line that comes out of the rubber adaptor on the back of the manifold to be broken in the area beneath the battery on the passenger side. You may well find that restoring the connection on the manifold doesn't restore vacuum switching. The plastic line runs inside a wire loom across the firewall and down into the passenger fender recess, where it goes through a check valve into a small reservoir, then -- depending on year -- branches to the air injection and HVAC control.
