About two months ago I got the 343 CMP high voltage code. Replaced the camshaft POS sensor, code went away, then 2 days later I got both knock sensor codes.
Thinking I probably pinched the wiring (or just old age of 245,000 miles) I have went ahead and ordered new sensors and harness for them. Still waiting for the harness to arrive.
However, while driving this morning, I saw the CEL light for a brief second under hard acceleration. Looked up the code and see 342 CMP low voltage code.
My question: Are the CMP sensors and knock sensors all on the same harness? Wondering if I should be chasing electrical issues and not failed sensors.
If you replaced the CMP sensor with anything but an OEM sensor that would be my first guess what’s wrong ...all 3 wires from the CMP sensor go to the PCM as well as each knock sensor wire !!
