Default HVAC blowing issue

So I just got this C5 of mine a little over a month ago and had to replace the blower motor and resistor. Of course I found a mouse nest in the blower motor so I shop vac’d everything out and took the cowl off to check for any more obstruction but nothing there.

I’m getting very low speed from the center vents and small driver side door vent. They change in speed and blow cold air but it just isn’t as strong as the 2 vents on the passenger side. No issues of hot/cold air and air comes out when the correct setting is selected. Is this a an actuator or possibly blend door issue or possibly the auto climate control unit?

Any advice is appreciated.

If I understand your post, you have no problem getting cold air or getting warm/hot air from center or driver side vent, but the volume or velocity of air coming from those vents is low compared to the passenger side vents.

If the above is correct and considering that you have had a mouse nest (nests?) an explanation would be that mouse nest material is further into the HVAC ducting and is impeding air flow to the center and driver side vents.

Correct. I’m thinking that there might be some more junk inside the vents/ducting but just wanted to get a second opinion before tearing apart the dash in order to dig deeper.

If you don’t already have one, I have been generally satisfied with this inexpensive scope/camera. I have used it more than I thought I would for projects like you are about to tackle.

Depstech Dual Lens Industrial Endoscope. About $85 on Amazon.

Are the dampers fully closing off, say defrost, when you call for floor heat? Or floor heat when you call for center AC?

I will have to take a look at the camera. I hear ya about things popping up and needing something like that.

All of the functions work as far as floor only, floor/defrost, top, and top/bottom. No hot/cold mix from one side.
