C&S says the option can't be removed with a scan tool Corvette World in Dallas says they can do it for $260. Which is right? I would hate to replace my shocks, drive to Dallas and have them not be able to program the dreaded 80mph thing out. Which is it?

For much less than $260 you can buy a VCXnano and program it out yourself following the instructions on this site. The newest versions work with Windows 10 or if you have an old windows 7 laptop it works great with that. The VCXnano is about $110 and you can probably get an old windows 7 laptop for $75-$100 if you don't have one.

Have you tried it on a 04 model? C&S says its doable on every year except the 04.

Well 03 has the F55 system. I would do a Google search on this site for F55 removal. You will find people with 04's that have successfully done it. I would PM them to see how it worked out.

I too find it strange that the 03 has the same system but Lyle says it can be deleted and the 04 can't. If so maybe the GM software writers put a curse on us. I am going to do more searches on this like you said and maybe it will make more sense....probably no lol
