C5 climate control need help, I am stumped
NEED HELP..I have a 97 coupe, climate control works every now and then. lights up good (not dim) when it does run, even purchased a remanufactured unit and it does the same thing, checked fuse #18, and it is good, unit buttons lights up when car lights are on,but screen stays blank, checked ground points and they are all clean. not to sure of what to check next, any help would be greatly appreciated

Your issue is some where upstream from the HVAC controller. One possible issue is the ignition switch. Contacts within it can arc over time leaving carbon deposits. I would either clean the switch or replace it.
