So I’m currently starting process of pulling my seized ls1 out only problem is how would I go about pulling it as it won’t turn so I can unbolt torque converter, and on any other car I’ve done I just pull trans and engine together but not here , so if anyone has removed a seized engine how did you do it ???? Thanks for your help
The torque converter is not in the bellhousing on the back of the engine. There is a clamp that you have to loosen to get the torque tube of the bellhousing. Hopefully, you can reach that bolt to loosen it. Once you get it loose, unbolt the torque tube and it'll pull off the engine.
If you are trying to separate the transmission from the back of the torque tube then just pull it off and leave the converter attached to the torque tube. Not as clean because it'll leak fluid, but it will come apart that way.
