Default Window seal where meets door not sealing

I've ben fixing waterleaks on my car and I found that water is through the window seal and dripping inside my door panel. I can't imagen that can be good. I found the source of the leak, where the window seal meets the door trim but I can seem to get it to fit tight enough against the trim to seal it. I tried repositioning the seal multiple times by there's always gap and you can see the window grabs it to early I can't get it to mimic the passenger side. Is this a problem with the window adjustment or did my window seal shrink?

I had a similar problem once. Get some black Permatex RTV sealant and fill the gap. You can buy it at any Wally World or auto parts store.

It's really not built to seal at that location. It's assumed that some water always leaks past that seal. That's why the doors have drain holes. Water leaks inside the doors of most all cars.

The passenger side is tight and seals properly no water gets in. There is water going down between the door panel and door frame, I can't imagen thats good for the electronics and motors inside there. I use a peice of dum dum for now but would like to seal it properly. Just not sure exactly how to correct it unless the window seal has shrunk and needs to be replaced
