Default C6 wheels on my c5

Hello...I've got a C5 with 17" and "18 wheels. I've come across a mint set of C6 wheels at a good price.
I'd like to make the swap, The C6 18" and 19" wheels require a lower profile tire.
Obviously there will be some differences, notably the ride and bending wheels.
Question is..Is the swap a bad idea? I'll appreciate your feedback. Thank you for reading.

Assuming base C6 wheels: Fronts will fit fine. Rears will need a 3/4 inch hub-centric spacer.

Look great on my car (my opinion, of course).

X2 They look good on my car, too. No issues with ride quality either.

Can you guys who have added spacers add anything about the details involved? Did you need new studs or lug nuts?

Oem studs are 1.25" long. The last 1/4" is just an unthreaded nub so take a small grinder and knock it off. For a nicer fit, use a 25mm or 1" hubcentric spacer with studs. Overall, it's an easy job.

Take a look at the C6 rims you have. If there is a deep recess between the lug holes you won't need to cut the ends off of the studs. You really only need a 20mm spacer to get the wheel on, but if the recess is not deep enough the 1 inch spacer may work better.
