anyone not used mufflers with headers?
I have tsp headers. Has anyone cut off the mufflers after the rear end where the stock 2.5" exhaust goes into mufflers? Also i know dumping it before the rear end is supposed to be illegal but with the stock exhaust you would have it cut after the rear end before the muffler and still be at the rear of the vehicle and be legal? What about cutting it right before the muffler and putting 2 2.5" turn downs which would be tucked up with the stock exhaust and exit after the rear tire on both sides. Anyone done this or have 3" dumps with headers? I had 3" x pipe dumped before the rear end with headers on my 98 camaro ls1 back in 2009. Any sound videos of the muffler delete and is it unbearably loud? To me with the 2.5" would be way quieter then a 3" exhaust dumps and having pipe going after the rear axle? anyone know if the stock catback exhaust takes up horsepower or tried dyno or track before and after swapping mufflers?

sounds like poop, the very minimal (if any) gain in power will not be worth the sound imo
