I bought a 2001 auto C5 convertible for my girlfriend to drive. (I have never owned an auto c5 before.) I have to say it would be much more fun with the manual transmission... anyway...
I put in heads and cam and I was doing some tuing with HP tuners, is there a sport mode for the auto? How does it activate, does it come on with comp mode? There are two tables in HP tuners, the second having much quicker shifting times. If not I will just change the times in the base table.
-Stay in 1st or 2nd without an upshift or a downshift, no matter the rpm or throttle setting, from idle to rev limit in either gear. Probably that PCM programming can be modified.
- In 3rd or Drive it will upshift or downshift according to PCM programming, which can be modified.
You are talking about the performance tables under the transmission tab I'm guessing. Never seen those tables being used, but from looking it up, apparently there is a pin on the pcm that if you attach a momentary switch too it the pcm will use that table, hit that switch again and it goes back to the base table. I have a manual so never tried it, but if I had an auto I would of tried it out.
