I just unbolt 'em and slip the straight pipes in their place. If you use a pnuematic gun to tighten the clamps take care not to break the threaded stud off...as I did once. As my set was one of the first 25 sold, FLP has since made the clamps heavier duty in design. If you have an early system, you might want to look into a set of the new clamps(not cheap but worth it). BTW the sound with the straight pipes installed is awesome and it gained me 10RWHP and 8RWT on my head and cam car.

If you loosen the header tab bolts and the X-pipe tab bolts you will give yourself "wiggle" room and the re-alignment will be much better. Tighten the clamps first then the x-pipe and header tab bolts and your job should take about 20 - 30 min.

Unbolt it, and slip the FLP's straight pipes in. You'll need 02 Simm for this or you'll get codes.
