It's getting about time for me to do a clutch Fluid replacement. It's dark in color. As I remember there are 2 ways to do it. One is recommended and the other is quick and easy...but doesn't reach the slave cylinder. I've been searching the C5 forums for Threads for either procedure but with no luck.. can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance

I have spent hours on this subject when I was having clutch issues. There is a ton of info in the CF archives.
Just suck as much out of the reservoir that you can and replace it. Pump the pedal about 30 times and repeat. Do until the fluid stays clear and there are no black particles floating in it. Remote bleeder is best, but more difficult to install. If youre not tracking the car just doing the ranger method every once in a while is not time consuming.

I tend to agree with this if you are not currently having any problems with it.
That having been said, if you are having some issues or if you were to take the intake manifold off for any reason.... I would absolutely try to actually bleed the slave cylinder while you are in there....

Ranger method is basically useless - you are not truly bleeding anything - just catching some crap recycling toward the top of the system.
Its not the best but it does work. When I was tracking a high mileage C5Z the pedal would stick to the floor after a couple sessions. We would ranger bleed it every morning before competition and get as much floating debris out of the fluid and it was fine all day. Yes the proper fix was a new slave, but we couldnt do that track side. Keeping the fluid clean did help though.
