Any warnings such as “service column lock” on the dash when you start it and let it idle? If so then there’s a 2mph cut off because the BCM thinks there’s an issue with the column lock
Ok thanks I’ll check I’m seeing where it could be that the battery is dead it was in the garage with a slow drain and went dead and sat for several weeks dead then I jumped started it ?????

The above advice from dbgoodwin is a great response, and usually is the problem, usually being the operative word. However, if the Pull key, wait 10 seconds before restarting shows , it's definitely the column lock, and the car will immediately die with any attempt at acceleration. My next troubleshoot advice, is that it might be an alternator gone bad. They usually give you very little warning, if at all that it's had it. What's your voltmeter registering when it idles?

Give us more info and maybe we can help…”it dies upon acceleration” ??….you mean in gear and moving forward or just revving the engine ??…did you scan for codes ??
Sometimes the steering lock controls get out of synch when the car has a dead battery and is jump started. You don't necessarily get a warning on the dash. I had that happen once with my 03 Z06. Battery died when I stopped at a tire store to pick up a family member. Shop guy provided a jump start but the car would only idle. There were no warnings on the dash. As soon as I tried to move it the engine died. Had to have the car flat bedded to the dealership where they reset the column lock circuit and replaced the battery under warranty. I owned that car for 6 years and that was the only time I had a Column Lock issue.
