Yesterday I took the car out for a drive, parked it then drove again. It's an 03 base. On the 2nd trip I lost my entire cluster DIC and all. I noticed on the outside of the car that the parking lights were flickering even with the key out of the ignition. I also noticed that if i pulled up on the ebrake the cluster would come back on but not without messages like service traction control, reduced engine power, low fuel, service vehicle soon etc. If i put the ebrake back down the cluster would go blank again. The cluster finally came back and worked like normal after I drove over a decent bump. At that point i had already started heading home cluster free.
Unfortunately i dont have the time right now to clean all 13 chassis grounds. Im hoping you all could please point me in the direction of the one thats most likely causing it.
Also, i was unable to locate the driver's side footwell ground, where is that located?
Thanks to all!

I pulled the drivers side and passenger side trim up and checked the ground connectors, both were bright and shiny. On to the next ones. If anyone knows which ones i should check first please let me know. That last several threads ive started have gone unanswered. This forum has been dead for months and it starting to get frustrating.
Simple search yes, i saw this thread along with many others during my google searching. I dont think its the cluster. The problem is influenced directly by certain things like jiggling the ebrake etc. This leads me to believe its a ground problem.
On a side note, of course google is a viable option. Why does everyone get a bug up their *** when someone doesnt search? Isnt this forum here to help each other out so we dont have to pull our hair out weeding through endless pages of years of threads and internet jargon? At that point why not only use google and skip the forum membership all together. Maybe some people have time constraints, maybe they dont understand the internet acronyms blah blah. Answer the thread or dont. This is a community not a search engine.

Also while it is indeed similar its not what i asked. I couldnt find what i asked for while searching which is why i started my own thread.
O.k. sorry I couldn't help, but your attitude sucks. Did you take in to consideration that no one has run across your particular problem and we don't have the answers? So go find yourself another forum to bitch on

My attitude toward YOU sucks. I picked up on your attitude early on. I think you just dont like that I called you on it. I havent been on this forum as long as some of the others but i have been here long enough to obtain and share information. For the most part things have been great but there's always the keyboard warriors who like to start trouble. Some days i ignore it, some times i indulge. It depends on my mood. For the record all posts by members can be seen no matter how old the post is so you might want to think twice about throwing out accusations about attitudes.
Its sad that the most attention ive gotten on a thread as of late was over something like this. Why are you really here?
There are many unique or particular problems with vehicles in general. Most of us here like to coordinate on a journey to work through the mystery instead of recycling the most common off-the-shelf answer. You are either a car person or not.
