Wonder what all the DIY use on the fenders for covers for these headers and H/C. changes What do the Vendors use .With Black it scratches when looking at it.
Whats the best protection for the car?
I do a tremendous amount of DIY work on vettes.. The best cover, by far, that I've found is made by Colgan. It covers both fenders, headlights, and the entire front nose. It has a soft backing, nice wipe clean top finish, and pockets for small stuff...
You can see it in this picture, if not too dark...
Oh my God!! Get a load out of that DIY project picture!!!! That's quite the ambitious project you have there. DIY for me has always been like brakes, clutch, rear axle assemblies and did some head work before, but MAN-o-MAN that is a pretty intimidating looking project picture.
Gee, I wonder what kind of work you send out to the repairshop??

I have the Colgan setup as well and it fits awesome. I bought it like 3 years back from Top Notch Auto whom unfortunately is not around any longer. I highly recommend these covers to all C5 owners that spend a lil DIY time!
Just a quick reminder that these service covers (which by the way, I had Colgan design several years ago) are available from us through the Corvetteforum Mall :
We've sold the last two I had, so if anyone else is interested, it will probably take about 3 to 4 weeks for Colgan to make and ship them right now. Let me know if you have any questions on them or if I can help.
