I have two sets of OEM wheels for my C5 Corvette. One set is the original alloy 97-99 style wheels. 17x8.5 up front, 18x9.5 out back.
The other set are the ones I REALLY want to widen. Its the upgrade wheel package for the C5 .. bronze-colored, magensium wheels .. 17x8.5 up front, 18x9.5 out back just like the stockers.
I'd like to get these magnesium wheels widened to 18x12 out back.
I know there's a guy in Atlanta who gets his 17" rear wheels for his MKIV Supra TT widened, but rumor has it that the guy he uses won't do 18" wheels :( Still checking around. If anyone knows anything, let me know - I'll do the same.
Used to do this in the dark ages on the steel wheels on my old British race car (a truck wheel guy did it), but I can't imagine this would be possible to do on a cast magnesium wheel. Buy some new forged CCWs from John.
