Looking to put a rev limiter on my C5 LS1. Not really concerned with launch control but all I see is the combo 2 step types. I have an automatic and not drag racing it but if I do an occasional burn out, I don’t want to over rev it. Any help or recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
I had A&A Corvette in Oxnard CA set the rev limit on my car at the same time they also set shift points for the A4 because of the new 3.73 rear drive ratio, also set fan off and on points lower.

Your car should be limited to 6200 RPM if it's stock and automatics have a built in "abuse mode" limiter as well. As long as the computer isn't cutting anything you are fine if the car is using a stock tune.
Since you didn't indicate any mods, etc I am assuming it's stock so far?
I just bought it, I know it has a bigger cam , headers and vararam cold air intake. It was dyno’d also. Maybe they HP tuned it. I’ll have to find out, thanks for the info!

If you get HP Tuners this is where you can change your RPM limiter. If you have a cam and what not they may have increased your limiter to take advantage of the top end power gains but this is where you would check and make any changes you wanted to.
OEM!! ALL C5s have a rev limiter programmed into the PCM from GM. As Ron said, it's 'adjustable'. A4 cars can pick up some good gains in ET and mph. The 4L60E has a very low first gear, and has a pretty large drop in rpm when shifted from first to second gear. Probably go from around 6200rpm at the top of first gear, down to 3,500-3,800rpm in second. If you gain 300-400rpm in first, you'll hit second at 300-400 more rpm. Most LS motors are making more torque/hp at 4,000+rpm that at 3,700rpm.......
