Low oil level message
does anyone know how low the oil has to get for the dic to trigger the “low oil level” message? i have an oil leak so i know the car isnt wrong but i was just curious on the exact amount of oil its missing

Thank goodness GM hasn't taken the engine oil dipstick away, like they have the trans fluid dipstick.....I believe the low level warning is when you're approximately 2-1/2qts low, so if that's the case, it may be low enough that it may not even show on the dipstick.......
Yes I think it was about 2.5qt low.
