C5 Radio/CD does'nt work
My battery being completely empty, I replaced it with the same model. Since then, my original radio and CD player have stopped responding. When I press the buttons, apart from RECALL and HOURS / MINUTES, nothing happens .... My 12-CD changer in the trunk works, it loads CDs well. The screen gives me the time as well as the logo of a CD at the bottom right. No LOC, SEC or ERR visible. I tried unplugging the battery for 5 minutes and plugging it back in, nothing. I removed and replaced the fuse, nothing happens either .... Everything works in the car except the radio and the cd player which does not respond.
Have you ever had this situation? Unless I am mistaken, I cannot find a person in my case on the various forums that I have visited.

I have not had this problem, however my guess is that something is wrong with a logic board in the radio. It could be something as simple as a blown capacitor or a faulty resistor. IF you have the technical knowhow to troubleshoot which exact circuit component is faulty you might be able to solder in a new one.
However, I would personally take this problem as an excuse to replace the radio with a new head unit that has Bluetooth, AND a CD player. Crutchfield has a great selection and will recommend the correct hardware/wiring harness adaptors. Just don't cheap out on a new one. A cheap head unit will likely have lower sound quality than the stock head unit.
