Replacing struts for convertible top compartment
Has anyone replaced the struts for the convertible top compartment? I need to do this and have the struts. Not sure how difficult this is.

It's fairly easy, if you aren't an old fart like me, that can't see w/o bifocals!!! Easiest to bend over, and look up inside under the Tonneau cover, and the trunk lid. When I tried, my glasses would tilt up away from my eyes!! Many YT videos out there, including one guy who put his petite wife in his trunk, and she was able to do it easily.

Struts for convertible compartment
Well I did this on Saturday. Hardest part was getting the old struts off. They are hard to see and find the clip to release them. Once off I installed the rear ball and socket first then lifted the convertible cover to install the front. Did not have to compress the strut at all, just popped right on. While lifting the hatch you would be increasing the length of the strut. Simple. Have fun.
