Default Two dilemmas

Anyone is welcome to chime in!

I have two issues I want to address on my C5.

First would be the HUD. Seems that the HUD has fallen down and I would need a grandma booster seat to actually be able to see the digital numbers on the windshield. I know I have to remove the entire dash, but once I'm at the HUD, what is next? What has it fallen off of causing it to display lower than before? Would I need to order a part or is it an easy fix once I'm at the HUD.

Second would be my upstream driver side o2 sensor. The plug has melted and is causing a p0133. I want to splice a new connector but the space under there does not allow me to. Does anyone have any advice to pull the harness into a location where I can use my solder iron and solder in the new connector? The space is really tight down there and I'm not too sure on how to pull that connector part of the harness outwards to have enough room to work on it.

Thanks!

Can't help with the O2 sensor, but search the forum, there are several threads with pix on how to fix the HUD. A plastic pin has broken that lets the unit slip out of its mounting bracket.
