hi all, question?
just got in last night for day out with my 2000 coupe
locked car, 10 minutes later alarm sounding. Parking lights will not shut off,no key in ignition and when you open door, chime starts to sound like you left key in the ignition, or the lights on!
did twilight in both on and off modes, cycled multi function switch several times, ended up disconnecting battery. btw, battery 4 months old, and i've had to recharge 2x, because i got nothing. Whatever is going on drains the battery, last night alarm sounded for the 1st time so might be a recurring problem?
need some advice from you guys
TIA
Can you operate anything without the key in the ignition that you would normally need the ignition key turned to at least ACC to activate? IE: radio, climate control
Also, any moisture in the car?

It is my guess, just a guess, that i will have to do with the ignition switch because all the signals will go through that switch. This is a case for wise old C5Diag. Message him
