Default help with dual zone HVAC.....

Need some help understanding this crazy HVAC unit.

The wife is having a fit that I can't get warm or hot air to come out of her side of the dash.
My side is nice and warm and I've tryed everything but only get cold out of her vents.

What am I do wrong?????????

Its most likely the RH actuator (servo motor really), look in the tech section and see how to pull up codes on the DIC. Probably the "rh hand actuator out of range" code will be set. Good news, the part is 100.00, bad news the entire dash has to be removed to replace it. It could also be a stuck door or the control head itself but those motors go bad pretty often.. If you are under warranty there is no worry.

Sometimes if you reset the code the motor will start working again since they are centered on a reset. But it will stop again eventually.

There is no trick to it, you just turn the pass side **** off center and it should change the temp in floor or vent mode..

Good luck :)

The most common error with the Climate Control A/C contol heard is the unit is not in the AUTO mode. The unit has to be in the AUTO mode for the dual temperature controls to work. If you choose AUTO and then push one of the air flow buttons, the unit will drop out of AUTO mode. I just put mine on AUTO and leave it. Then the wife can adjust her air temperature to suit. If the unit is not in AUTO, the driver temperature **** controls the entire temperature. You could also have a air flow door contoller motor bad. That will set a code in the DIC so it can be checked.

Default Thanks...........

Thanks everyone! The car is just out of warranty but maybe my son who is a Tech at Hena Auto Plex can get them to do it.
At least he can check the code and help me fix it.

Bob
