I recently put shorty headers on my 2002 base with 58K on it. I also replaced the O2 sensors and the car has ti mufflers. Since the addition of the headers when the car is idling in gear there sounds like an intermittent "engine miss" and there is no rpm change. I am seeking any and all advice on this and I appreciate all responses.
Not really sure why you would do this as there's really no difference between shorty headers and the stock manifold. Are you certain that your O2 sensors were reinstalled correctly? How is the fitment? Are there any leaks?
If you don’t have the MIL light illuminated you should find someone with a decent scan tool to see what’s going on with the car…without some diagnosing the best you can do is change a bunch of parts !!..since you had installed the headers I’d look at plugs and wires for being installed securely.

I can think of a few differences...the shorties look 1000Xs better than the stock manifolds that look like Victorian era radiators. They also weigh a fraction of the weight of the stock pieces. A third would be if they are ceramic coated they will run cooler.
I would check those new 02 sensors first. I've had new ones that failed. Not on my C5s but on my BMW. None the less new failed O2s out of the box.
Then look at plugs and wires. As others mentioned you may have cracked a plug or split a wire when installing the headers. You were only in three places when you disrupted things. Both sides of the motor to install the headers, and under the car at the O2s.
Likely your issue lies where you were playing around. Backtrack and inspect everything.
