I am going to get a Blackwing for the '03 A4. What do you members rec. for air intake? Leave it stock, go with an after market? What kind/brand? I know for sure that I will get rid of the accordian connector and go with a smooth unit.
If you do those two, you might also want to put in a new air bridge (snake head). I just got one from Andy at A&A which was cheaper than the others at the time. I took my MAF screen out but I'm not sure if they still have them in 03's. I also put in a MAFT (translator) but it didn't do much good. I've read where they've benefited others but my computer had already adjusted and I only picked up 1 hp---so to me that certainly wasn't worth it. My personal feeling is that most of the increase you are going to pick up will come with the Blackwing. I woudn't do the hood seal or throttle body bypass, etc. because they are worthless---just marketing ploys---though I made a hood seal just to keep dust and water off the Blackwing.
Just keep reading the posts and you'll get some ideas.
The stock airbrige will be fine unless you do plan do some serious engine mods. Most people change their air bridge just for looks. If you want to make the stock airbridge nicer looking you can get an after-market decal that goes over the raised 'vette emblem that looks pretty cool........
I think a great combination with the Blackwing is to remove the MAF screens and add an LS6 intake manifold. These alone can probably give you an additional 20 RWHP.
I went with the carbon fiber vortex powerduct from West Coast Corvette. I noticed a SOP difference before and after the air bridge. Plus, it looks 10 times better.

Since his is an '03, I think he already has the LS6 intake manifold. Am I mistaken?
