Default Should I use pucks with my QuickJack?

Since blocks are supplied by QuickJack, should I also use pucks with the blocks?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Mark

I do as well. The blocks that come with the quickjack leave almost zero wiggle room. If you slide their block under the car at the lift point, you’ll see what I mean.

Thanks guys. I didn't want to get those pucks if they weren't necessary.

I don't. Hell, I don't even use the blocks. I just lift by the frame and call it good. The bottom of my car is pretty buggered anyway.

I prefer to lift with my Quickjack using a combo of the add-on pucks and the rubber blocks.

If I can't get the Vette high enough with your combo, I'm thinking of adding a piece or two of 2" x 10" x 10" lumber. I'd like to get the car about
24 inches off the floor, if it feels secure at that height.
Cheers,
Mark

Absolutely. I used it without pucks a few times and it was a complete PITA making sure all 4 corners were lined up, not contacting my frame savers, etc. Bought a full set of rubber lock-in pucks from eBay for like $15 and now it's quick and easy.

I picked up 4 pucks today from a local sports store, $1.89 each, NHL type. Amazon wanted $7.89 each, now that is a large spread in price. Got the hardware, will get them set up tomorrow.
I was wondering if the pucks would help line things up, thanks for the confirmation.
Cheers,
Mark

Yup as long as you make them lock-in style with the eyelets, you'll be good. I used a set of hockey pucks before I installed my frame savers as well. Didn't think about them when installing the frame savers, so there wasnt quite enough room for them anymore. Took a hole saw to them for a temporary fix until I got the new eBay pucks haha.

I always use pucks for the extra stability. The ones that lock into the holes on the bottom of the car frame rail. They provide that bit of stand off from the frame rail so the underside of the rocker panel cover (the painted body panel) doesn't make contact with the QuikJack blocks. If the body panel sits directly on the QuikJack blocks it can damage the paint and/or crack the panel. Worst of all the painted panel is very slick and if you end up for any reason getting a bit of a slant or tilt tilt with the car it can slide off the blocks!! I don't even want to talk about how I know!!!!
Anyway, the pucks are not expensive and are useful to have in any case.

The pucks make it nice and easy to line up the QuickJacks.
