I got my EBCM out, opened and soldered. Anybody know of a way to test the unit while it’s out of the car to see if my repair was successful? Multimeter? After the hours long struggle to get the thing out, the idea of reinstalling it only to maybe take it out again, is too horrible to consider.
I don't know any way to test the unit before reinstalling it, but you can use two screws to start out, and if it works, add the other four. If you replace the Torx screws with hex-head screws it will be easier to reinstall and remove again, if needed. Also, some of the screws are easier to remove and install from under the car.
