So how much engine lateral movement do you get under turning, acceleration?
I am having header clearance issues. I have checked the motor mounts and everything looks ok. I also have removed 3/16" of material on the cross member where the header is making contact. When making a hard left turn you can still hear it :cuss Should I continue to remove material or??
VBP has poly motor mounts that will help, as the OEM mounts do move quite a bit. On our race car, the harmonic balancer would actually move forward enough to hit the power steering, slowly carving a hole in it, during braking.
Thanks. Yes it is the aluyminum cross member. The guys at TTS said due to different castings that some vehicles will have clearance issues. I will try the alternate mounts. Better than carving!
