I've asked this question before (several years ago) and nobody had a good answer. Since that time, I've tried a number of different things including:
- unplugging the memory/potentiometer plug in the door
- attempting to make a "fixed" potentiometer to make the door module think the memory is always at the "right" spot
- added non-memory driver's side door button
Nothing has worked. The annoying passenger's side mirror keeps freaking out every time I use the keyless entry (mirror goes to max throw and runs until it cuts off). So I'm back looking for help as I'm at the point of trying to replace the motor to see if that will cure the issue (that's how annoyed I am). I don't want to just "kill" the power to the mirror as I use them for backing into parking spots at times. I was looking at replacement motors and I noticed that there is a memory and non-memory version of the motors. Would that help/delete the memory function? Or is the memory function in the door modules?
My only solution similar to yours is not use the key less entry. I tried everything and decided that this is another GM engineering F**k up. So now I only use the key to unlock the car. Old school sometimes is the fix.
I had the same thing with my car. Like you I tried every "fix" I could think of. I got rid of it when I installed my push to start kit. I hooked up the lock/unlock wires at the driver's door control module. If you're not a fan of the push to start kits there are kits available with the remote lock/unlock only.

Wait wut...you're saying that you unplugged the mirror harness at the door and the mirror still moves??
I had the same issues with my mirrors and finally just got them to where I wanted them and unplugged the door harness. They haven't moved since

I've got no issue with doing push button start (I like push button start), I just wasn't sure what it took to bypass the factory alarm system. How did you do your install?

Yes, thats my video. Also look at a couple of the other videos also. They will show some of the other wiring and there is another video showing the wiring for a relay to simulate the key in/out. I didn't initially show that on the original video because I wanted to simplify it.

Where did you get your keyless kit from? Do you like it? How does it work?
I put a keyless kit in my wife's jeep and everything works fine except the passive keyless portion. It's flaky and can't always tell that I'm standing right next to it (it will unlock, and then lock with me standing right next to the vehicle).

Mines is an easyguard 002. They are available on all the e-commerce sites. On the issue with your Jeep's passive keyless portion check to see if you have the keyless receivers' position in a good spot. Also if you used the double sided tape that it came with it may have fallen off. If they are not in a good spot to receive the signal from the remote the can possibly not get a good "lock" on the signal. Or...........you can just have a bad unit.
