I just bought me a 1999 Corvette Hardtop. FRC. It has the old school dial controls for the climate controls. I was curios if this can be changed over, to the stock digital controls, that came in some models? Can anyone help with this, and any advice of needed items, to do the swap. Thanks so much.

Reason: More specific title
There is far more involved in changing over the controller to the digital unit. You would have to replace the heater core behind the dash, run wiring for the system and change BCM options.
The cost for this from a labor perspective would make it not worth while. You would be better off selling what you have and finding a late 1999 or 2000 FRC that already had the dual zone system.

To be honest, your response was what I was expecting. I was hoping it might be a harness adapter or something. I really appreciate your quick response. I figured it may be more trouble than what it is worth.

The "electronic air" (climate control) system is great..... When everything works. I've read on this forum many posts over the years stating the reliability of the system you have, older fashioned or not, is superior to the climate control system. I have the climate control system in my 2000 Vert. It's given me quite a few problems thru the years. Do a search, and I think you'll find what I'm saying is accurate. I've had mine out several times. I resoldered the 8 resistors to the circuit board, replaced at least 14 minilights (that was a job!), and thought the display is now bright, I have no illumination at night on the controls. I called Troy at Vettronics, and I'm sending it to him, because he feels there's something else on the board that's failed. To each their own. If reliability, and keeping your car original are important to you, I'd keep what you have. Just my .02. Best of luck to you.....
