Any way to tell which pulley is squeaking? Run motor briefly without belt and no squeak. Would that eliminate crank pulley? Switched out tensioner and have new AC compressor. Car is tracked so it does run some at 7K rpms, but is also daily driven. Suggestions?
How long did you run the engine for without the belts? Was it a constant squeak or did it vary with engine speed? Could also be the exhaust hanger springs. Greasing them up takes care of the issue.
theres a ton of pulleys on these cars (two idler, two tensioner, p/s, harmonic, ac, alternator, water pump, etc.) I would disconnect the ac belt and narrow it down from there. chances are its your harmonic balancer though if that has never been replaced.
If you have an oil catch can that can cause what it perceived to be a belt squeak. See mycorvettelife on youtube for his journey trying to find a squeak that wasn't a squeak...

If you've spilled any antifreeze on the belts, they will eventually squeal. I have over 120,000 miles on my pulleys/tensioner, all original, except the ASP balancer. Mine squealed terrible after spilling Dex Cool on them changing the t-stat. Squealing was so bad, I was ashamed to drive it. I thought about buying new pulleys, or a new tensioner. But when I removed an idler wheel, I measured the very slight wear in the middle caused by the belt running over it a million times, and wear was only .015"!! The bearing(s) felt fine, and smooth. So I bought only new belts, and the squeal disappeared. Just sayin'......
