I have a 98 convertible , My battery went totally dead so after I charged it, now my mode on hvac doesnt change anything . Very low air flow. Fan is normal. I can here it trying to change with each press of mode . I tried the reset by pulling fuse in floor fuse box but didnt do anything. I cant get the 2 codes to clear on the on board diagnostics page.'when i hold reset you can hear the actuators doing something . My 2 codes are
99-HVAC BO363 H
99-HVAC BO441 H C
is there something else I can try .
How did you perform the calibration ??…you are supposed to turn ignition off…remove fuse 27…wait at least 60 seconds and install the fuse…if you just removed the fuse and reinstalled that’s not going to work !!
I turned key on and cleared messages , i left ignition on and removed the fuse . "18 and "27 . Then agter about 10 minutes i turned key off and pit fuses back in. Could you give me a step by step , from beginning. Ive gotten confused on the correct way . Do I turn key on and go into the diagnostics and clear then turn key off and then remove fuses ? Or what . Thanks for the reply

Yes, you can clear the codes if you like then turn the key OFF…remove fuse 27 and then wait 60 seconds and reinstall the fuse…this procedure is straight from the Service Manual !!
Is there any evidence of battery leakage from your failed battery? There's a wiring harness bundle that runs close to the battery tray, and in that bundle is a small vacuum tube that controls the HVAC actuators. I've heard of instances where acid damages that tube and doesn't allow vacuum pressure to actuate the HVAC
Thanks for all the help . Ill give it a try in a little bit . And Napoleon , there wasnt any battery leakage, but i will pull battery and look at hose and look in the fender wall door too .
