Possessed headlight

'01 with possessed headlight on driver's side....Turn the headlights on and we get popup and light. Now the fun part. When you turn the lights off, both lights drop and shut off, but the driver's side pops up/pops down 3-4 times and then it will drop and stay down until the next time the lights are turned on again.

Thoughts?

Headlight control module would be a good place to start, and since it's just the one side I think you can start there instead of at the stalk.

That's what I would think, too ^ Or the motor on that side, but usually that doesn't manifest as going up/down.

I would first verify your white rubber bumpers are still in place and in good condition. Compare left headlight to right headlight so you know you have all the tabs.
